Specific project focus on developing independent public radio initiative in Nepal to network and share content among local radio stations; classes attended during the academic year include design thinking at d.school, designing happiness, multi-media production, strategic communication, non-fiction writing, development issues in South Asia and regular weekly Knight Seminars. - INK Fellow 2010: INK Conference in association with TED, hosted 20 INK Fellows at the inaugural INK Conference held in December, 2010 in India. INK Fellows Program aimed to empower young innovators to effectively communicate their work to the INK community and the world.- Manthan Award South Asia 2009, Community Radio category for Doko Radio, innovative approach in taking empowerment forward in a difficult terrain and chance to experience power of local radio in the community. Doko Radio is a backpack radio station that travelled to 25 district of Nepal between 2007-09. - Radio Nederland Training Center Production Award 2005, radio category for radio documentary titled “Road to a failed state” produced after travel through Nepal’s East-West Highway. Radio documentary looked at the impact of Maoist Insurgency in Nepal. - Co-founder, Antenna Foundation Nepal (August 2002), a vibrant production and training outfit dedicated to public broadcasting in Nepal. After 9 years of founding, Antenna has grown from a small one-program production house to a vibrant production cum training facility catering to over 100 radio stations and competing with national and international producers.- Helped fundraise to establish community radio station in Humla, in remote district of Humla and technical expansion of over dozen-radio station in Nepal. - Trained over 500 radio producers, technicians and reporters in production, technical know how and news making in the past 10 years.
