Director Of Technology Services
Current- Manages all aspects of technology for the departments within the association including leading technical projects that provide in-house software development of information processing systems and 14+ applications via Quickbase.- Oversees the project budget for technology operations and special projects. - Manages an IT Support Desk serving 5000+ Members via email and phone.- Oversees cyber security processing and risk mitigation by implementing and updating security protocols and monitoring vendors’ operational governance practices.- Supervises a 4-person team and coordinates 8+ external technology partners. - Conducts annual performance reviews and collaborates with supervisees to develop short- and long-term professional development plans.- Guides technical IT implementations, manages platforms, and oversees 20+ vendors.- Oversees the technology needs for 4 events annually, attended by 1800+ guests.- Leads the Technology Stakeholders Group which consists of the Deputy CEO and other senior leaders. The think tank addresses the association’s technology needs.- Report outs on technology related findings, risks and status updates to the CEO.- Reduced an 8-hour process to 3 hours by identifying 12 stop-gap solutions via QuickBase to automate manual processes via a rapid prototype development tool.- Migrated 90% of on-premises servers and services to utilize cloud-based solutions (e.g., member database, main web service, phone system, file storage).- Led the pivot to remote work during COVID by ensuring staff’s access to technology.- Saved the association $100K by developing an event platform in-house using existing technologies for the virtual conferences during the pandemic.- Overhauled an outdated event technology platform consisting of 7 different systems across 3 vendors with a single comprehensive event management system.
