I am primarily interested in freelance/part-time work as a creative writer/content writer, editor/copy-editor, proofreader and translator (English to Bengali, Bengali to English, Hindi to English and Bengali). My interest as a nonfiction-writer primarily lies in performance and visual arts, sociology, gender studies and education. As for fiction-writing, my interest currently lies in children’s literature. I've been writing and translating for various magazines on an amateur and semi-professional basis for more than a decade. I've also been co-editing a bilingual webzine named Aainanagar since 2013 and have worked as a freelance editor for a few magazines as well as several books and articles produced by individual authors. I'm also experienced and keen to work as a book designer, cover designer and illustrator. I have been working as a freelance designer, illustrator and cartoonist for several webzines and news fora for past few years. I'm proficient with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Gimp and Inkscape. As for my other work-experience and passion, I've danced since a very early age and have worked as a professional dancer and choreographer for last seven years. I hold a Diploma in Kathak, have learned Mohiniyattam and worked with a few Indian contemporary choreographers in Chennai, where I reside at present. I've studied Mathematics up to my post-graduation.
