Madhu Vijayan is the President and founder of CalibratedGROUP, a private equity fund in Los Angeles, CA. At Calibrated he pioneered the development of distributed services in healthcare for California’s Managed Care Services industry and developed a global delivery platform to cut costs while increasing the efficiency of patient care. Prior to Calibrated he was CEO of Oxelis Inc., an eCRM software company for which he holds a patent on the technology. Oxelis was backed by DFJ and Frank Biondi’s Waterview Advisors, LLP and was acquired by EDS (MphasiS). Prior to Oxelis, Mr. Vijayan founded the Pentad Group that focused on creating emerging market strategies for entertainment firms such as Universal Studios, Sony, and Landmark. He also played a key role in one of the earliest business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in the technology arena in India with RMSI, which was acquired by the Daily Mail Group of the U.K. Mr. Vijayan served on the Board of Directors of Midland Calibrated, LLC a joint venture with Midland Encore Capital Inc., a publicly traded company in the financial services sector, which was acquired by private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Co. He was also a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of PatentMetrix Inc., a BPO in the intellectual property space, and served on the board of Maplewood Capital Partners, a venture capital investment group. Mr. Vijayan is on the Board of the International Foundation for Research and Education. In Los Angeles, he serves as a Senior Advisor at the USC Annenberg School of Communication.
