“Kaleidoscope Kafe” is food theme-park design concept for my Capstone project. I work in a team of two as an illustrator and graphic designer using programs such as Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop to create a variety of character designs and themed graphics based on food-items. The project is to be unveiled at Capstone Night on December 8th at 4pm at the Luddy School of Informatics and Computing.

“Hixson Academy” is an e-learning project commissioned to LJ Media, where I assisted as a freelance graphic designer and character artist. Using Photoshop and Illustrator, I created a unique range of character designs and backgrounds to be used in the “Hixson Academy” training game. These characters and graphics were created with the intention of bringing visual harmony using color theory, shape, and composition.

“Murder On The Hill” is a horror, mystery project written by Stephanie Coffing that was translated into a 3D puzzle game by myself and a team of four. As the project manager, lead illustrator, and graphic designer, I led my team toward the stages of modeling and programming by making a blueprint of concept art and themed graphics with the use of Photoshop and Illustrator. To better organize my group, we used Slack and Trello for communication and task management.

“See You Laters” is a children’s book written by Stacy Allgeier about a caterpillar who is scared of the dark. This was the first project that I fully illustrated in Procreate. Keeping the story in mind, I illustrated Archie (the caterpillar) with calming colors in double and split complementary schemes; he had to have an empathetic, round shape to resonate with the target audience

“The Stray” is a children’s book written by Robbin Miller and E.J. Tesiero-Miller; it was my first independent freelance project published under PenIt! Publications. Using MediBang Paint, I illustrated Robbin’s story of a stray dog who found his forever home. Drawing from a dog’s perspective, I had to make Woody very expressive to convey key story elements visually.

“Wyatt’s Wind” is a children’s book written by Stacy Allgeier; it was illustrated by myself and a team of classmates who were assigned this book as a lesson on digital illustration in Photoshop. As the lead illustrator, I was tasked with helping my classmates understand style consistency, character design, color theory, and visual storytelling.
