Our team was contracted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs in Colorado and Wyoming. LEAD aims to reduce recidivism by directing low-level offenders into harm reduction services as an alternative to incarceration. Our team is evaluates the efficiency of LEAD programs across the Intermountain West by analyzing criminal history, recidivism, and interviewing law enforcement, project managers, case managers, program participants, and local stakeholders at each site. The position also requires composition of evaluation reports (quarterly and annually for each pilot site), and numerous academic papers. In my role, I assisted in reviewing literature, interviewing, and coding using Atlas.ti. In the role, I was also able to prepare and present findings at the 2022 Law & Society Conference.
