I served on the Internal Affairs Committee as a freshman engineering student. Working with a team of 10 driven peers, we planned and executed a total of eleven events including an end-of-the-year banquet and Spring Retreat. The Internal Committee’s goal is to integrate new members into an inclusive and active community which encourages strong connectivity among all members. Internal Affairs fosters relationships as peers, mentors, and friends that last beyond membership. In this community, members turn to one another for support, guidance and camaraderie.

I launched the digital marketing campaign for DRS in September of 2019. In the construction and home improvement industry, it is uncommon for companies to have a strong presence online, leaving a gap in connecting customers to service providers. I developed my skills as a photographer and videographer to meet the new target audience and bridge the gap in marketing strategies. As younger generations become homeowners, the target audience shifts and thus should advertisements to reach the new consumer demographic. Through my work on the Instagram platform, the company has seen significant growth in residential contracts while maintaining commercial work.

I managed fundraising, budgeting, materials, competition fees, and other financial expenses. Over my year of presidency, I acquired sponsorships and grants from companies amounting to over $8,000. This money was used to invest in newer generation electronics, aluminum parts, and offset the expenses of competing at the VEX World Competition. Additionally, I directed the social media, community outreach, and club dynamics. My team (32792B) won the local qualifying competition (Apopka, FL) and was invited to compete at the state level (Mineola, FL), national level (Council Bluffs, IA), and international level (Dallas, TX) of the 2022 VEX Robotics Competition: Tipping Point.
