My name is Madison and I am beyond excited to begin working in the clinic with patients! While observing at a center for pelvic rehabilitation and women’s health, the physical therapist and I discussed the intricacies of pelvic floor physical therapy and how important, yet neglected, this type of care can be. It occurred to me that pelvic health in my hometown of Toledo, OH could have even greater implications, due to the prevalence of human trafficking and it’s survivors. This was the beginning of my advocacy for women’s rights and interest in pelvic health. Pelvic floor physical therapy combines my passion for women’s health and rights, with my attraction to physical therapy. It is the perfect intersection of my personal interests and career goals. However, I am also open to learning more about other fields and specialities, such as pediatrics and sports medicine among others. On a lighter note, I like to scuba dive, coach and/or play volleyball, practice yoga, and spend money I don’t have. I am a very hands-on learner and like to do things myself in order to learn and understand. I am eager to begin my career and cannot wait to hone my skills and learn more.
