• Lead software engineer for the Transmit Group responsible for design, development, testing, and delivery of software artifacts in support of the team rapidly developing and fielding prototypes and production releases for mission critical US Navy submarine systems. • Maintains and modernizes existing software including a Linux kernel device driver for custom PCIe card that controls and communicates with transmit hardware, and embedded Linux software applications that run on Xilinx FPGAs to handle high-speed transmit data processing. • Interfaces with customer at all points of the software lifecycle - from requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, to production support and maintenance - to ensure software meets all requirements. • Collaborates closely with the hardware engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve transmit group software issues during system integration and in test, production, and power lab environments.
