I believe physical therapy is a multi-faceted field that cannot be approached simply focusing on one’s body. Retraining needs to occur internally as well as externally to ensure appropriate healing. I am moved daily by what the power of healing old habits, building strength, restoring confidence and retraining poor movement patterns can do. We all have the innate capacity to change, grow and heal. Most of us will need a mentor, some guidance and positive reinforcing to get there. I hold a license to practice as many others do, but I do think my empathic nature, commitment to learning and developing intrapersonal skills sets me apart from others. My goal is to be that mentor, to continue making the change around the old beliefs around healing the body.
