Crew MemberHoyts Group Jan 2023 - PresentCurrambine, Western Australia, AustraliaFrom my previous employment at Grand Cinemas and now The Hoyts Group, has provided me the opportunity to continue working in a field I love - customer service and the entertainment industry. Working in this field, I’ve always loved watching our customers explore and enjoy their cinema experience and helping them make their entire experience the best that it can be. What's important to you, matters to us and so, our interactions with our customers are most important to us, as we know this is a big factor that creates the setting for their whole cinema experience in its entirety. Working with The Hoyts Group team I’ve learned many new skills including hospitality service customer interaction and interpersonal skills that have helped me give our customers a positive cinema experience. As a growing team we strive to create a safe, fun, inclusive experience for all. -
Disability & Inclusion AdvocateProfessional Speaker And Disability Advocate - Madison Heady 2016 - PresentHillary'S, Western Australia, AustraliaAs a young person with lived experience of disability, my passion has always lied in advocacy work. Throughout our forever-changing world is important to remember the art of Humann connection and the importance of inclusivity for all. Throughout high school, I discovered a passion for disability awareness, diversity, and the importance of Inclusivity and spreading the word, through public speaking. Throughout speaking to my peers and other year groups at Sacred Heart, and educating students I fell in love with the idea of seeing original perception change and re-building the way they see minority groups and knew that this was what I was meant to do. Since then I've created my own public speaking business and delivered a number of presentations to different primary/high schools, colleges/universities/Tafes, and businesses/organisations including a TEDxYouth talk in 2022 on a variety of topics within inclusion and disabilities. Not only do I hope to spread awareness but I also hope to encourage and inspire others in minority groups to advocate for themselves and encourage them to live their best lives the way they want to, and give people hope that nothing is impossible.

Covid-19 Youth Steering GroupYouth Affairs Council Of Western Australia (Yacwa) Jun 2020 - Jun 2021Leederville, Western Australia, AustraliaDuring COVID-19 I had the opportunity to be a part of a diverse collaborative group discussing all challenges that young people faced as a result of Covid. Covid has impacted all our lives and it was during these times in 2020 where we were all trying to figure out how we were going to live with a global pandemic. The Youth Affairs Council of WA recognised that young people, especially young people in minority groups were greatly impacted by the effects on Covid. Being involved in The COVID-19 Youth Steering group was not only “ As release” as I definitely felt like my challenges were being listened to and acknowledged, but collaborating with others with lived experience of a disability, I was able to create a paper written on “ The effects of COVID-19 and disability”. Finally getting to speak with ministers and government agencies presenting them with this paper, reminding everyone of our minority communities, and access and inclusion during COVID-19
