About Madison Lacy
I love marine mammals - I mean, who doesn't! But, on a deeper level, I love to observe, ask questions, and find answers that can help marine mammals. I strive to build a career defined by genuine curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and determination to make improvements for these animals. To achieve this, I have seized many research and volunteer opportunities through tertiary education, which has culminated in two scientific papers currently in the works (one is on sea turtles, who I also love). I am always working to learn new things and expand my skill set, which already includes: R coding, photo ID, marine mammal observation, boat skippering, scientific writing and so much more...Outside of academia, I enjoy communicating science through my expedition guide role. There is nothing I find cooler than lecturing about the marine environment and my favorite animals for work!
