I blend the lecture and modeling style of teaching with student-centered hands on practice in order to achieve meta style learning. Students are encouraged to break down how they learn a skill (i.e. the steps and process) to solidify content knowledge. I lecture and model the learning of new content, then utilize a questioning model to conceptualize content and "stamp" the key skill of the day. Students are then asked to practice skill work through mini project based learning, real world application, and hands on tasks.
