About Madison Montgomery

With a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Conservation Biology, I am a passionate conservation professional with over ten years of experience in field research, environmental outreach and education, and nonprofit development work. Looking to pursue a career in wildlife ecology--specifically in Pacific Northwest ecosystems--I have a demonstrated background in studying bats, birds, butterflies, cetaceans, and coral reefs.Passionate about field studies, I have experience working on various research projects across Latin America and the United States. Most recently, I balanced responsibilities between two distinct positions while working for the Coral Restoration Foundation™. As a Development Intern, I reported on grants, drafted LOIs, and developed the framework for a quarterly donor spotlight series that is published in the CRF™ newsletter and online blog. As a third-term restoration intern, I mentored new interns in daily responsibilities and managed field projects related to endangered coral rearing, monitoring, and outplanting. Though both positions required different skill-sets, I am proficient in balancing tasks with various deadlines. These positions have also allowed me to improve my ability to understand permitting processes, use statistical tools, lead and train a team, and synthesize biological resources information.I am currently seeking opportunities related to terrestrial and aquatic research, outdoor recreation, or nonprofit development work in the Pacific Northwest with an emphasis on Portland and northwest Oregon counties.

Listed skills include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Customer Service, Public Speaking, and 12 others.
