• Guiding conservation efforts in the Mississippi River Basin by developing a framework to measure the impacts of conservation projects on ecological health• Facilitated a virtual, multi-session workshop (8 hours total) with 23 participants to identify indicators for river system health and evaluate an ecological health framework• Analyzed 39 exploratory interviews to identify key ecological issues throughout the Mississippi River Basin, resulting in a synthesis report to inform the workshop

• Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team to investigate opportunities and barriers for natural infrastructure implementation in Iowa by examining policy, social, and biophysical systems• Identifying and reviewing relevant policies and programs such as disaster relief, agricultural finance, and watershed coalition-building programs to recommend opportunities for improving natural infrastructure policy• Conducted 10 interviews with Iowan practitioners from agricultural commodity groups, state agencies, and environmental non-profits to gain on-the-ground insight about decision-making, resources, and equity at their respective organizations

• Developed proposal for capstone project on natural infrastructure implementation with a focus on equity and justice under the guidance of Working Lands team• Investigated the correlation of positive nitrogen balances at the county-level with facilities’ SWDA and NPDES violations using NuGIS and the EPA’s ECHO database
