To assist the Mayor's Office of Economic Opportunity (MOEO) with the process of gathering information about early childhood programs and policies in Los Angeles and their relationships with MOEO's National League of Cities Early Learning Nation Capacity Building Initiative. The basic purpose of this project is to assist the Mayor's Office in the future development of early childhood education policies and programs in the City of Los Angeles.

- Supported critical initiatives in the Office of JEDI, advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This role is a vital part of my journey toward impactful government work, be it in policy or conflict resolution.- Leveraged tech proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Box, Calendly, and Zoom to enhance operational efficiency, recognizing the pivotal role of streamlined processes in government-related tasks.- Played a key role in planning and executing projects, directly contributing to the office's mission of creating opportunities for underrepresented individuals.- Communicated effectively across diverse identities, values, and beliefs, understanding the importance of fostering inclusivity within government organizations.

- Conduct diverse policy research and track legislation on various issues.- Assist in organizing briefings, business meetings, and press events for CHC Members and staff.- Draft policy memos, endorsement letters, and other relevant documents.- Collaborate with a highly motivated team, demonstrating excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and time management.

- Asset with incoming calls and emails, address general inquiries, and aid constituents. Engage in data management and organization, including compiling and analyzing information, to support efficient casework management and tracking community concerns.- Collaborate with field representatives by conducting research, gathering relevant documents, and drafting memos for the assembly member's review.- Attend community events, represent the assembly members, and actively listen to constituents' feedback and concerns. Plan holiday events to foster community connection, build relationships, and promote unity.

The Innovation Challenge (IC) program is a collaborative effort between UCLA, Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Slalom dedicated to introducing students to new ways to use technology to help address critical problems and opportunities facing the university, its students, and the broader LA community. The goal of the IC is to provide UCLA students with the opportunity to develop solutions to complex problems through the application of AWS technology, creating a more “digital” environment in support of student-driven solutions. During the IC, students will receive exposure to real world technology challenges while working in a team-based environment with support and mentoring from AWS and University technical and subject-matter experts.
