Profile bio

About Madison Madrid

During my undergraduate years, I developed a deep passion for urban and social policy, community and economic development, and social justice. As a Public Affairs major and Geography minor, I explored how social environments and urban planning impact marginalized communities. My work and research experiences have deeply developed my skills in analyzing these issues. I’m particularly interested in understanding the economic disparities in urban and rural areas, especially in regions like the Inland Empire where I am from. Social justice, for me, centers on equity, ensuring that marginalized communities have the opportunities and resources they need to thrive, regardless of their background. This drives my commitment to public policy.
