Hi, I’m Madison! I’m a recent graduate from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and another Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Global Politics & Societies. I’m open to working both part-time or full-time, as well as in person or remotely, for jobs that allow me to positively impact my community and bring people together. I’m particularly looking for a teaching, research assistant, education, community organizing, or TEFL-related opportunity.I’m dedicated to relationship building, human flourishing, and global empathy. I’ve always had a natural curiosity and craving for more knowledge; I want to contribute tangible learning tools and relatable information that facilitate growth and performance for other individuals and communities. I hope to apply my resourcefulness, inquisitiveness, creativity, thoughtfulness, social proactiveness, gregariousness, open mind, energy, and community-oriented attitude and mindset toward a professional future in international education.In my undergrad, I completed a year-long research fellowship on the contemporary shifts of the Korean feminist movement towards online activism - where I later furthered my research through a Masters Capstone class on online misogyny and gendered crimes in South Korea by analyzing international social media platforms and international & national cyber laws. My professional & educational interest is to continue researching the intersections of gender politics, feminist & queer studies, Internet studies, communication studies, and Asian studies to create safe and gender-equitable spaces online for feminists & women across the Asia Pacific. As a young Filipina-American, I want to take my hardships as inspiration to help other Asian/Asian-American women & girls. I'm in the process of completing my TEFL certification so I can teach girls and women abroad in the Asia Pacific.
