As a Sports Footwear Designer I have a thirst for creating functional yet stylish, branded products. I am confident in designing in line with current fashions and trends and enjoy analysing colour and material forecasts and implementing these into my products. I am interested in learning about new and emerging textiles and aim to incorporate these into my projects using novel techniques. I am an exceptional researcher and have myself conducted several usability studies including focus groups and questionnaires. I was able to impartially evaluate these results and generate the most appropriate designs in line with the users wants and needs. I have previously completed self-initiated projects for well-known companies including 'Imagination'​ and 'New Balance' and take pride in being able to create stunning but practical concepts in line with their brand philosophies. I have a passion for science and a thorough understanding of foot biomechanics with a hunger for creating innovative solutions from the technical to purely aesthetic. With experience in a design studio setting I am a proven team player alongside having strong communication skills and being able to work well with others. I am currently working as Designer for the Jacobson Group where I am primarily responsible for the design and development of soft goods, footwear and accessories for the Gola Classics and Gola Sport brands.I am an ambitious, self-motivated individual who is impassioned by sports. I have the drive, ambition and zest to succeed beyond expectations and would relish any opportunity to gain the skills and practice needed to kickstart my career. My ultimate goal is to design an on-trend, cutting-edge product for a first-class athlete.
