Conducted a needs assessment within the Customer Advocacy Office; led a cross-departmental meeting to create consensus in order to streamline sales practices complaint resolution; drafted several memos; created and delivered several presentations; and participated in webinars regarding trademarks, derivatives, and capital markets.

Conducted patent law research; summarized intellectual property articles; participated in weekly seminars led by industry experts; participated in weekly intern meetings in which we debated public and foreign policy; and reviewed a white paper by Professor Adam Mossoff of Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University.

Drafted cease and desist letters, administrative complaints, memos, notices of appeal, and retainment agreements; conducted legal research for civil and criminal cases; and wrote articles for the firm’s website.

Attended mediations, hearings, and depositions; conducted legal research via LexisNexis as well as Florida and Alabama Statutory Code books; reviewed evidence to create memos; organized client files; entered data to bill clients; researched expert witnesses; analyzed complaints and answers; created questions for associates to ask during depositions; provided potential jury insight to associates; and gained exposure to employment, construction, property, and personal injury law.

Assisted approximately 80 young women each year with various matters, including roommate conflicts, illnesses, sexual assault and domestic violence situations, familial hardships, and more; welcomed residents and guests while working the front desk; enforced university policies; assisted emergency services when necessary; documented violations of university policies; checked guests in and out of the residence hall; attended weekly staff meetings; conducted meetings for my residents; and created door decorations and bulletin boards for educational purposes, as well as fostering a comfortable and fun living environment.

During my collegiate career, I worked at Barnes & Noble for the few weeks we have off during Christmas Break. The countless paper cuts have been well worth assisting customers, creating bonds with coworkers, and spreading holiday cheer. My first day on the job I was actually offered a position as a bank teller by a satisfied patron.

Conducted legislative research; attended events on the Senator’s behalf; responded to phone calls and emails from constituents and lobbyists; and wrote daily letters to constituents.

Taught a Hip Hop Zumba class once a week for a large group of diverse faculty, staff, and students; attended weekly staff meetings; controlled audio equipment; cleaned equipment; and created a fun and supportive environment in which to promote physical and mental health.
