As the weekend anchor at WNCT I lead our producers and reporters in creating an informative and captivating show. I help assemble the run down, edit scripts, and run our website and social media platforms. I also track down breaking news information.As a multimedia journalist at WNCT I pitch, write, shoot, and edit daily stories. I source in-depth story topics from my areas of coverage and turn them in to compelling packages that engage our viewers. I pitch and create targeted special reports that investigate a wide range of issues like the abandoned boat problem along the crystal coast. I've covered multiple hurricanes and tropical storms, election nights, presidential rallies, breaking news, and heart warming stories.

Carolina Week is a weekly, student-run news broadcast through the UNC School of Media and Journalism. Each week, I work alongside 15 other students to create a cohesive, informative, and engaging show. As a reporter, I've produced a variety fo stories about big headlines in Chapel Hill. From the toppling of Silent Sam to BIRD Scooters coming back on campus, I track down leads, interview, shoot video, write, edit and front those news packages. I also anchor the broadcast and serve as the face of Carolina Week.

Carolina Now is a daily, 5-minute long show broadcast over Facebook Live each day. Our broadcast reaches over 1,300 Facebook users daily. I mainly serve as a producer, compiling story ideas and creating an engaging and informative show. I also anchor and report during the broadcast, and I assist in the technical aspects of the production through running audio, graphics and teleprompter.

As an ambassador for the admissions office at UNC, I am responsible for being the face of the university. I lead engaging tours to show prospective students and their families what life at UNC is like. I also sit on panels to inform those interested in UNC about classes and the logistics of living on campus.

As Chapter President, I served as the leader of the NC Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi for over 180 women. I was responsible for advancing the well-being of my members through academic and personal development. I was also in charge of coordinating communication between our chapter, alumni bodies, and the university.

As Recruitment Chair, I was responsible for preparing our chapter of over 180 women to have meaningful conversations in preparation for formal Panhellenic Recruitment. I created an aesthetic decoration plan for our chapter facilities along with a cohesive outfit design for our members to follow.

As a newsroom intern for ABC 11 I assisted reporters, photographers, and producers in creating and packaging content for air. I assisted in conducting interviews, filming background video, writing, and editing news stories. Additionally, I worked alongside of the digital team to create engaging social media content and web stories. I was also gained valuable technical knowledge, learning how to run cameras, teleprompters, and graphics by shadowing Production Assistants and Technical Directors. During my time as an intern, I also worked alongside of other interns to complete group projects and other newsroom tasks assigned to us by producers.

As an intern at Spectrum News, I was given first-hand look at a 24-hour news station. I shadowed reporter Ryan Breslin on a range of stories, assisting in interviewing and shooting news packages. I also assisted producers in writing VO's and VO/SOT's for air. Additionally, I cut footage for sports highlights and learned how to create graphics with Media Management. At the end of the summer, I participated in an intern broadcast as a live reporter.
