Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, I ventured from home to Columbus, Ohio to pursue my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). Moving away from home pushed me to gain independence and to develop critical skills such as networking and problem-solving. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and minored in Substance Misuse and Addiction. Living in Ohio opened my eyes to the Opioid Epidemic and fostered my interest in addiction medicine.I returned to my hometown at the end of 2021 to continue expanding my pharmacy knowledge at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, where I am currently a PharmD candidate, Class of 2025. My interests in addiction medicine and psychiatry combine in my current position as a pharmacy technician at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital. The knowledge that I am gaining in this position is invaluable and I look forward to utilizing the skills that I am developing in my future practice. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy being out in the sun with my friends and family as much as possible.Looking forward, I am interested in psychiatry, addiction medicine, and pediatrics. My passion for quality patient care and determination to excel will propel me forward to be successful in whichever path that I choose.
