I am a first generation, first year Cal Poly student pursuing a Bachelors in Science for Liberal Studies and planning to minor in Child Development and Spanish. My past teachers and coaches have recognized me for my dedication, relentless hard work, positive attitude, communication skills, in addition to kindness which has also been recognized by my peers. I have experience in working with young children and tutoring and I am excited to use the skills that I have acquired through this work in a career in elementary education. I am passionate about the importance of education and knowledge. I have also demonstrated a love of giving back through involvement in multiple volunteer opportunities and service based clubs. I have a very agreeable personality and truly enjoy taking advantage of all opportunities life presents to me.

Through being a tutor,I practiced teaching skills helping a student significantly improve his grade in biology and helping him in many other subjects. In this, I developed teaching skills, learned how to help students in areas they find difficult and find creative ways to explain things. Furthermore, I showed skills in communication, patience, commitment and knowledge in a variety of subjects in addition to editing and learning how to explain complex topics effectively.
