UNC Faculty Physicians, Outpatient Services

As a Program Assistant for the BSPH in Health Policy and Management, I assist with program operations and outreach while expanding current initiatives. My responsibilities include creating a weekly newsletter highlighting current events, announcements, and job opportunities, as well as planning new events and programs.

During my semester as a project management intern at UNC Health, I engaged in two primary projects. The main project involved conducting informational interviews with 15 departments to refine responsibilities for new clinic openings and moves to centralize findings for streamlined processes, benefiting clinic directors. For the second project, I conducted a property management audit for all physician-based clinics to promote operational efficiency.

Led outreach for Goshen Medical Center’s care gap worklist of over 1,000 patients in the Aledade app to encourage preventative health care visits. Developed a call script for Goshen Medical Center to encourage a reluctant patient population to complete their annual wellness visit through Medicare. Performed research on blood pressure control relating to social determinants of health

Worked in Accounting/Finance department of Pardee Hospital. Contributed to the AP Processing workflow and participated in high-level meetings.
