I was involved in 40 Below beginning in May 2011 and became a steering committee member in August 2011 and served until October 2018. I served as Chair Emeritus, Co-chair of the executive board, Treasurer, and Chair of the Events Committee, and a member of the Marketing Committee and Civic Engagement and Public Arts task forces.

I was a research assistant to Dr. W. Henry Lambright. I conducted exploratory research and assisted with his NASA sponsored research, the product of which will be a book recounting history of NASA's robotic Mars Exploration Program.

I was a research assistant to Myrna Hall, Director of the Center for Urban Environment. I have worked with Ms. Hall to put together a text book proposal in urban ecology. This proposal was accepted by Springer-Verlag.

I served for three semesters in the Writing Resource Center at SUNY-ESF, assisting both graduate and undergraduate students in enhancing writing skills and abilities at all steps of the writing process.

I was a teaching assistant for Dr. Alan Rossner for two of his courses: EV100 Introduction to Environmental Science and Policy, and EV200 Creating Environmental Policy. I was responsible for leading class discussion, conducting supplementary research to support the coursework, grading and teaching duties.

I served as a peer educator for the First Year Seminar. I engaged by students in small group discussions, and developed a lesson plan for the topic of environmental conservation on campus.

I conducted safety inspections in approximately 100 laboratories on campus, along with two other students. We issued reports on any violations discovered in these audits, following a safety protocol issued by the Environmental Health & Safety Manager.

I designed and conducted research projects in the science and policies regulating environmental lead exposure. I worked under faculty mentors. I did lead analysis using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy under Dr. Alan Rossner during the summer of 2006. During the summer of 2007, I analyzed the lead regulation discourse between the scientific community and the policymaking under Dr. Christopher Robinson.During my second summer in the McNair program, 2007, I also served as as a peer mentor for first year students entering the program.
