I found my own non-profit organization called Dare 2 Dance. Dare 2 Dance was a showcase that targeted low income communities that were not open to opportunities in dance. These area(s) lacked dance studios and proper training and technique. The Dare 2 Dance showcase brought dance studios and choreographers from all over the city together. Everyone showcased their talent and presented a small speech encouraging youth to continue to dance and fight through adversity. Dare 2 Dance does still exist. We are working on doing smaller tasks within the community.

Throughout the summer, I was able to complete various tasks such as: -Sorted through and organized ideas in house “Shark Tank” style idea contest using google spreadsheets-Created info graphics on innovation to educate employees on what the innovation process looked like-Partnered with the patient experience department to see how ideas that have been submitted could be implemented in the hospital-Joined morning huddles with various departments to discuss the innovation process-Met with ROH employees for individual meeting to further discuss ideas-Researched current trends and innovations in healthcare, technology, and wearable devices and found creative ways to apply them to technologies Regional One Health is working on -Developed an “innovation playbook” for ROH employees that consists of leading ideation workshops, testing methods, and execution-Created interactive worksheets to compliment the innovation playbook-Used power point to create informational slideshows for participants in accelerator and post accelerator programsI was able to develop skills such as: organizational skills, time management skills, self motivation, communication, strong writing skills and creativity.
