As an intern with the Downtown Community Alliance I work mainly on social media marketing and public relations, photography and layout/design. Some of my duties include helping in creating and maintaining Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook accounts. I serve as the main photographer for the Downtown Farmers' Market and work on various promotional material design.

While at Bank Iowa for my one month internship I worked on a variety of projects. I assisted in website redesign, market research and ad creation. I was able to exercise my layout and design skills to create many digital and print advertisements for various branches. I also was able to utilize my writing skills to create copy for fliers, handouts and radio ads.

While working at the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation I worked on a wide range of projects, resulting in a fantastic learning experience and an unbelievable summer working at the single largest event in the state of Iowa. Using InDesign and Photoshop I created promotional materials for upcoming events and activities. I worked on public relations efforts for the annual Corndog Kickoff fundraising event, creating media kits, and developing a social media marketing campaign leading up to the event. As part of my position I planned VIP events that occurred during the Fair, creating and mailing invitations, arranging catering and decorations, setting up and tearing down and helped host the events. As the main assistant to the executive director I also assisted in VIP credentials and hospitality during the Fair.
