As a receptionist, I book customers deliveries, as well as taking accurate payments over the phone. I do daily reports, calling customers to tell them their furniture has arrived and that we are able to go ahead and book their delivery; leaving notes on each customers account. I ensured the sales staff members were equipped with the correct materials on the floor (paper, staples, invoices, paper clips, pens). I multi-task and was efficient when there was more than one customer at my desk, as well as on the phone.

This Summer, I worked at CADTH (Canadian Agency For Drugs And Technologies In Health) and was a part of the Corporate Services team. I had the opportunity to work on various projects within different departments, such as Finance, Governance, Web, Communications, and Marketing. I actively worked on diverse and creative projects each week with multiple individuals. While working on these projects, I had opportunities to see what CADTH offered, as well as how they impact Canada.

At Bikini Village, I was first a sales associate, then later was promoted to a key holder/sales associate. As a staff member, you are trained on all the merchandise in the store and help customers find what kind of swimsuits fits them best. As a key holder, I was the acting manager when the manager was not on duty. I welcomed and trained new staff members by showing them the styles of swimsuits, teaching them how to use the cash, and shadowing them till they felt comfortable to make a sale on their own. I also consistently achieved my daily objective which varied throughout the months depending on the season. Lastly, I helped floor plan put new merchandise when it arrived on the floor by following the floor plans that were sent to our store.
