Through this internship, I worked with the Climate Adaptation team to update and develop reports on species impacted by climate change for the Defenders Climate Change Guide. I also compiled research and assisted the team in providing comments to the Forest Service's Wildfire Crisis Implementation Plan and Executive Order 14072, Strengthening the Nation's Forests, Communities, and Local Economies.

In this position, I played a key role in the planning, organizing and advertising the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute's Global Forum in October 2022. This included leading meetings with speakers for virtual sessions, using social media and news outlets to promote the Forum, and interacting with the Forum's attendees in different formats. I also worked with the Nebraska Water Center to plan the 2021 Spring Seminar Series. This included booking panelists, organizing event details for the Series, drafting press releases, and providing information for attendees through Constant Contact.

I have worked on two major research projects within the UNL Political Science Department. First, I provided analysis and coding support to examine state compliance on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Later, I used a coding method to analyze state compliance from the International Criminal Court for their likelihood to prosecute main actors of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Through the UCARE Research Grant, I coded and transcribed interviews from the Daasanach community in Northern Kenya. These interviews centered around the themes of evolving lifestyles due to climate change and how local NGOs interact with the Daasanach community.

As an intern for the College of Law I participated in the Tenant Assistance Program (TAP) to connect tenants facing eviction hearings with free legal assistance from Nebraska Legal Aid. I also edited forum videos from the Rural Reconciliation Project and provided administrative assistance in the College of Law's Dean's Office.
