I am a graduate of Appalachian State University (2013) and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2019) with a B.S. in International Relations and Comparative Politics and a Master's in Social Work. I aim to spend my life serving the city of Charlotte by working to stabilize families and promote economic mobility and the physical, emotional, and spiritual flourishing of children, families, and communities. I am an organized and passionate individual with diverse leadership and volunteer experiences, and am motivated by forming trusting, collaborative relationships. My role on a team is to facilitate cohesion and unity, and to take initiative in problem solving and implementing new ideas. During my undergraduate studies, I served as a Student Ambassador and interned with International Justice Mission in Washington, D.C. After graduation, I worked as a Regional Administrative Coordinator for Samaritan's Purse International Relief for three years before leaving to return to graduate school. While in school full-time, I also worked with Congregations for Kids as their Program Director, where I developed, implemented, and oversaw several programs designed to support youth in foster care, including a mentoring program for older youth in foster care. I currently serve as a Family In-Home Social Worker at the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services and as a spokesperson for Congregations for Kids. In both of these roles, I act as an advocate and resource for youth in Mecklenburg County's foster care system.StrengthsFinder: Woo, Adaptability, Learner, Relator, and Includer.Enneagram 1
