Hi! My name's Madi and I graduated from CBU in May 2021 with my BSN Magna Cum Laude, following up with my RN license in June 2021. I begin working in the emergency room at Clovis Community Medical Center in August 2021 where I learned the basics of nursing and how to care for both medical and psychiatric patients presenting with emergent complaints. I then moved back to Orange County in February 2023 to be closer to my friends and family who live in SoCal. I am currently working as a registered nurse in the emergency room at Providence St. Jude and I love it. We are a stroke and STEMI receiving center and I feel I have learned so much in the last two years here. Working in high acuity has inspired me to begin studying to pursue my CEN and CCRN. I am also pursuing my Masters degree at GCU with an emphasis in AG - ACNP, so I can better serve my patients in the future in a provider role with a graduation date of October 2025. While at GCU, I have been invited to join the nursing honor society. I am currently looking for opportunities to work alongside fellow NPs or MDs in settings such as emergency room, ICU or hospitalists to excel in my clinical work. My interests when I graduate will be in ER NP, ICU NP or RNFA. I love the critical care setting with opportunities to critical think, practice skills and learn in a fast paced environment.
