Economic Diplomat at the Embassy of Japan in Washington DC, United States for 2 years with focused experience in managing research projects with think-tanks as well as research and monitorization of government policies. My duties were as follows: 1) Maryland state liaison, 2) Gender policy officer and liaison to White House Gender Policy Council as well as the Secretary's Office of Global Women's Issues at the US State Department, 3) think-tank relations officer. Aside from my regular duties, I played a communication role at international conferences and the official visits of the Japanese Prime Minister and First Lady to the US.Major achievements:- Concluded the “Memorandum of Cooperation on Economic and Trade Relations between the Government of Japan and the State of Maryland in the United States of America.” I was responsible for drafting the document, negotiating with the Maryland counterparts, and conducting the signing ceremony which was attended by Governor Hogan and Ambassador Tomita.- “World Assembly for Women 2022” in Tokyo. Reached out to prominent figures in the US in the gender policy field and successfully received video messages from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.- Project management with think-tank organizations. Each year I coordinated 7-8 projects funded by the Japanese government. Responsible for reviewing proposals, preparing contracts and budget sheets, and coordinating webinars or report publication projects with partner institutions.

Associate program officer at the Japan-US program at the Tokyo-based think-tank, Sasakawa Peace Foundation for about five years. My two primary roles were: 1) to plan and conduct foreign policy research projects with US think-tanks and NGOs, 2) to arrange a US-Japan high-level exchange program for congress members, government officials, academics, and journalists, and finally, 3) to distribute all project outcomes as articles, reports and videos to our Japan-US program’s own webpage.Major achievement: in collaboration with the East-West Center Washington DC, published a "Japan Matters for America / America Matters for Japan" booklet in 2019.

Internship at the Hays Japan. Supported general back office work, which was all conducted in English.

Internship at the Government and External Affairs, U.S. Marine Corps Installations Pacific. While learning how the US-Japan Alliance is conducted day to day, researched the relationships between US military facilities and Okinawan local residents.
