Team leader for EU enlargement and Denmark's relations with Southeastern Europe: Turkey, Western Balkans and the Caucasus. Extensive analysis, briefings and counselling of the Foreign Minister, handling of media/PR work and planning VVIP visits. Personally representing Denmark e.g. in EU working groups and Directors' meetings.

On leave from Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Overall responsible for all programme development, programme implementation, relations with partners, security, financial and asset management, human resources and public relations of Mission East in Armenia. Main priorities include: development of new projects, liaison with international and Government agencies.

On leave from Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Stationed in Russia, working in Chechnya and surrounding republics. Main focus on strategic programme development and quality assurance of programmes. Particular attention to programmes with time horizon beyond emergency relief, e.g. small enterprise development, micro-credit and community development projects.

Served as an officer in the Danish Army before, in-between and after university studies. Diverse assignments including peacekeeping and peace enforcement missions abroad. Latest active service, with rank of major, as Logistics Planning and Liaison Officer in a French Army brigade staff in Kosovo in year 2000. Subsequently designated as Company Commander in the army reserves.
