I was responsible for establishing and implementing a central market intelligence model, providing the organization with a central point of information. In order to do that successfully I did a lot of stakeholder management on all levels throughout. I was also partly responsible for building a knowledge sharing setup and a monthly newsletter. This covered topics as legislative and regulatory trends, key competitor and customer updates, report and publication notices etc. Furthermore, I supported and gave inputs towards the internal yearly strategy process and financial forecasting. I also participated in various ad-hoc strategic projects, such as patent analysis and market/segment deep dives.

I joined the Residential Heating Business unit in the Climate Solutions division, as a Market analyst for the strategy director. My main objectives were to drive overall strategic and market analysis projects, involving market sizing, competitor benchmarking, route to market and recommending strategic initiatives. Furthermore, this involved a project looking into production capacity planning, and the project that led to the merging of my business unit with another. Finally, I supported the M&A process with screening of potential candidates, due diligence, and presentation material.

In my role I was part of a pure student worker team, that served as a resource towards different tasks and projects throughout the organization. My main task was focused on risk assessment of business customers. This is mainly to prevent financial crime, money laundering and terror financing. This task involves a very thorough screening of the activities and transactions, analysis of the annual reports and such. Within this function I have also trained co-workers as well as having contact with customers. I have also shortly been involved in the process of credit-rating business customers as well.

Initially I started as a youth employee in the service unit as a cashier, but once I turned 18, I moved to a position as Customer Service Employee. In this role I was jointly responsible for the daily management in the service unit. This means that I coordinated the daily tasks to the service employees/check-out assistants. I supported the work schedules and the team’s performance in general, and it was my responsibility to have no differences in the cash registers. I also assisted with the communication between the leaders and the employees, and I actively worked to optimize the daily routines. This position has followed me when I moved around, which means I worked in three different stores throughout my time at Føtex.
