biofilm MEDIA is a video & media production company that employs a unique knowledge convergence, focusing on the creation and generation of digital-media solutions for British Columbia’s growing life sciences community and beyond. As the Primary Director of Photography for BioFilm MEDIA, I have worked closely with Life Science BC and the Peter Wall center creating profiles on professors, doctors and the Life Sciences community. I've worked in laboratories across BC and filmed multicamera events for distribution online for UBC. At Kaleidoscope, I was able to provide youth with skills for the workplace. Here, I taught students basic camera skills, lighting technique and editing. I also mentored all projects including documentaries, music videos, and profession profiles. At this youth-oriented skills links program, I acted as facilitator in a temporary capacity when needed.During my time here I helped participants develop:Self-confidence through hands-on projects and 7 weeks of work experience;Increased capacity to find work with effective strategies, tools, and attitude;Skills that are foundational to being successful and valuable in any workplace.
