With over three years of graphic design experience, I specialize in digital branding and creating personalized electronic animations. I utilize Adobe Illustrator and After Effects to create digital assets, animations, and visual effects. I've created everything from brand logos and title animations, to posters and pamphlets, to table place cards and social media posts.

I worked with mass amounts of various media to complete videos for Hollywood-based gala events. My job was to import this media, organize, categorize, rename, and create Google Sheets to input information pertaining to its content and current state in the editing process. I trimmed footage into stringouts to turn over to other editors, as well as edited entire sections of the gala myself. Other tasks included transcribing, pulling the best bites out of footage, and working with programs such as Google Suite, Dropbox, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Suite.

As the sole video editor for My Modern Met Academy, my main priority was to take raw footage captured by artist instructors and create high-end courses that students will enjoy. This required organization of mass amounts of media, consistency of branding/imagery, and a fast-paced schedule. I worked on every aspect of editing; from L-cuts to audio stabilization to color grading. As well as condensing assets of 10+ hours of content into easily digestible 1-2 hour courses, I created graphics and animations, adapted videos to various social media platforms, created closed captioning files, and worked with multiple teams to optimize workflow and increase engagement across all platforms.

As contributing writer, I researched, developed, and wrote almost 100 engaging stories in 7 months. Many of my articles gained traction on Facebook, garnering tens of thousands of reactions and shares, and helped drive traffic to our site. In this role, I worked on several stories at a time under strict timelines, developed my proofreading skills, and explored topics ranging from scientific discoveries to heartwarming personal stories. I also learned search engine optimization skills, utilizing sites such as AdThrive, Awin, and SE Ranking to ensure my prose, titles, and article images sparked engagement.

Oakland University

I was responsible for designing and sending detailed emails out to all members of the club, providing information on past meetings, future events, important information, and deadlines. I oversaw and answered all emails sent to our address and then relayed that information with the e-board on any important updates and to contact those we need to. I completed diagnostics on member inactivity with our newsletters and made adjustments accordingly. I also completed detailed notes, minutes, and summaries of all club meetings and ensured all board members have those notes.

Rochester, Michigan

I was the first person that was contacted for online education technical support. I forwarded phone calls, created appointments, managed several staff members' calendars, and attended to faculty members and students who needed assistance.

Oakland University

I served as one of the directors of Grizzdance Film Festival, creating it from the ground up. I ensured the overall festival is planned, like my other co-directors, including tasks such as securing concessions, reserving of rooms, and merchandise. My main focus was on three aspects. I created designs, including poster design, the programme, Grizzdance letterhead, a campus map to direct guests, and other items. I programmed the films, which included organizing mass amounts of film submissions, distributing them into categories, and creating programme notes. As well, I was in communication with the filmmakers involving their needs, informing them of their acceptance, and ensuring they know of the schedule of festivities the day of.

Greater Detroit Area

As a college intern, my main priority was spreading awareness and garnering interest in upcoming films The Owens Group was set to promote. I helped to advertise these films by employing a grassroots-style approach of attending local events, college campus events, and local businesses to pass out various items, such as promotional gifts and advanced screening passes, to the public. As well, I helped run advanced screenings of films and completed various reports on public sentiment to send to corporate.

Toronto, Canada Area

I attended TIFF alongside peers and mentors as Industry Delegates, meaning I gained a more immersive experience than the general public attendees. I completed a field journal and coursework, attended several industry panels and an exclusive Master Class with filmmakers, and met with other industry professionals. After our return, I took part in a retrospective course in which we reflected upon our experience and learned more about global festival circuits and film distribution.

Rochester, Michigan

My priority at both jobs was to create a welcoming, open environment for all students/guests, to manage adverse situations, and to ensure a clean and safe work space. As an attendant, I provided campus information and sorted/delivered mail. As a driver, I completed routes on and off campus and kept record of information such as ridership, mileage, and gas usage.

Oakland University Art Gallery

I, alongside eight other colleagues, organized an exhibition at Oakland University’s Art Gallery, merging students’ perspectives and the gallery’s personal collection. I contributed to components such as creating educational packets, graphic design elements, grant applications, exhibition design, press releases, and other project management paperwork and organization. I personally oversaw our Social Media Campaign and De-installation of the exhibition.

I kept my entire section neat, organized, and moved mass amounts of plants throughout my shift. I had to have thorough knowledge of plants to provide customer support in person and over the phone.
