For my college internship project at Boise State University, I coordinated a Mental Health Awareness event, Rewriting the Playbook, for young athletes to further the mental health conversation in sports at Treasure Valley Athletic Center in Meridian, ID. I was able to create awareness by inviting reputable sport-oriented speakers and administering discussional break-out sessions with constructive questionnaires. To maintain progression, I intentionally provided take-home resources and designed an effective coping strategies outline in relation to stress and sports performance anxiety. Throughout the duration of the internship, I effectively communicated tournament schedules and point of sales with athletes and patrons at the facility. I also facilitated various sports programs, respectfully greeted patrons, and integrated a safe environment.
