Giving back to my community and studying science have always been the two biggest driving forces in my life. As I began to think about a career, assisting in a research laboratory stuck out to me from the start because it seemed to incorporate every interest that I've had. I'm currently a fourth-year student at The University of Findlay studying biology, chemistry, and psychology with dreams of working in a research laboratory. Science has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From my first semester of college, I fell in love with all of the lab work within my courses, and I had the unique opportunity to further this experience as a student researcher. As a student researcher, I have gotten familiar with many laboratory techniques - including bacterial culturing, polymerase chain reactions, DNA extractions, and enzyme-linked immunoassays. I have attended several conferences through research, which have only sparked my interest more. I look forward to a long and meaningful career in laboratory research, where I am lucky to contribute to a field I am extremely passionate about.
