As Manager, Waste Management Services, I led a 70-person department including engineering, professional, administrative, and hourly employees. Managed the characterization, storage, treatment and disposal of low-level radioactive, mixed, hazardous, industrial and sanitary wastes for the West Valley Demonstration Project. Developed and executed a full-scale reengineering effort to establish cost-effective, timely methods for disposal of radioactive wastes. Defined, planned and executed projects to implement reengineering, including development of Strategic and Key Staffing plans, implementation of new database management systems, and construction of a $1.7 million shipping complex. As Manager, Operations Support, I directed the Emergency Management and Operations Safety programs for the West Valley Demonstration Project. Designed, developed, planned, executed and closed two major emergency management exercises. Conceived/developed a line safety function within the Site Operations Department to improve day-to-day safety compliance and Conduct of Operations. Managed the Operations Technical Support function that provided technical support to Main Plant Operations (site infrastructure, power, air, potable water, etc.). Led restructuring of the event investigation process to evaluate abnormal operations incidents, including corrective action development, reporting, and development of lessons learned. A core member of the team that developed the proposal for the prime contract at West Valley.As Manager, Community Relations & Total Quality, I Directed community and media relations for a high-level radioactive waste solidification project. Planned and executed the scoping process for the Environmental Impact Statement for Project Completion and Site Closure. Developed the Total Quality program for the WVDP.

Areas of technical concentration included seismic evaluation, missile analysis, and regulatory guide position development. Acted as Shift Technical Advisor at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station.
