This spring, I graduated from Shawnee State University with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences (Generalist), a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences (Actuarial Concentration), and a minor in Deaf Studies. Over the past 3 years, I have been given the opportunity to expand my mathematical knowledge and skills in ways I never imagined.Specifically, I have gained an abundance of skills in courses such as probability, statistics, interest theory, and many other math related courses.I have always been a goal oriented student, and have high hopes of furthering my knowledge in the future, and applying it to my future career in order to help others.In addition to my passion for mathematics, I also have gained an interest in ASL. This interest lead me to perusing a minor in deaf studies.I was also a part of the honors program at Shawnee, where I was able to preform research each semester to expand my mathematical knowledge even more than I was able to in class. I was also given the opportunity to present my findings at the honors symposiums held at the end of each semester.I am looking to find a career in which I can apply my passion for mathematics, and would love to be able to use my skills to help others in some way. I am open to expanding my knowledge even further and obtaining any licensure’s, certificates, or any other advancements required or desired.
