As a project designer I would see the project from start to finish. I would meet with the project manager to discuss the scope of the project, prepare the drawing for approval, create a rendering packet, and request and specials from the manufacture if needed. Once the project was approved by the client I would prepare the drawing for another designer to double check my work. I would create the specification packet with pricing and include install drawings. I was also able to double check other designers drawings when they received an approval. At my time at FMG I was on the fun committee that plan the office holiday parties as well as fun office events to engage the employees.

I would assist the owner and other designer with site visits, revisions to the construction documents, and presentations. I would document my time that I spent on each project and save it in an excel document.

Advised students, specifically freshman and sophomore level, with resume writing and navigating the eagle network. I also assisted career advisors with career fairs and promoting events as well as any projects the advisor was currently over seeing.

Shadowed my mentor while he performed everyday work tasks. Walked building sites and reported any findings that were concerning.
