One of my first memories from school that has stuck with me was when my brother’s teacher was fighting breast cancer. I have always been able to come up with creative solutions for problems. During this time, I started a business of using pop tabs to make bracelets and bookmarks. I would sell them around the schools for five dollars. All of the proceeds went to that teacher in need and the impact of this event would change my life for the better. From that moment on I knew that I would be pursuing a career in fashion as well as helping make a difference in this world. I have learned that understanding your values will help with creating new and strategic problem solvingI have developed a passion for working towards a better future, by helping people see that their jobs can have a positive impact. I currently am an intern at Momoc Shoes in Madrid Spain. I have learned a lot about my personal values but also about new ways to solve problems. I have been fortunate in learning how to make more of a positive impact on the environment by working for this vegan and sustainable shoe company. This has helped me know the true potential in myself for the future. That is why educating people about going green in fashion is important. We need to learn how to value our World before it is to late.
