Responsibility :1) Manage the use, maintenance and technical support of databases used in the operation, including planning and overseeing data collection, input and verification; production of standard and ad hoc reports.2) Generate statistical reports based on the standard reporting formats and ad-hoc reports, charts and tables as required by the management.3) Provide training, as necessary, to UNHCR staff as well as staff-members of implementing partners in relevant aspects of data management.4) Archive and backup database systems; ensure security of databases; perform database administrator functions.5) Assist in development of new applications/Databases needed by the UNHCR Offices/Units in area of responsibilities in order to perform their tasks smoothly.6) Ensure that the clients' databases are up-to-date by identifying and keeping what is relevant and accurate in an accessible manner.

Job Description / Responsibility:1) Enter data mainly related to asylum seekers, refugees and persons of concern to UNHCR into the computer database.2) Contribute to the preparation of reports and project documents by providing information, preparing tables and drafting routine correspondence and reports.3) Update and maintain existing databases and generate various statistical reports.4) Assist in the development of forms for data collection and analysis, if requested.5) Act as interpreter in the exchange of routine information and translate routine documents and correspondence as and when required.6) Field trips to project sites.
