With volunteer experience in community organisations, Maeson is always keen to use their skills for a social purpose. Maeson is passionate about providing safe spaces and platforms for young people to have a voice and be heard, be involved in their communities, and be able to explore their passions and interests. Maeson began their working career as a HR business trainee at the Y in WA. Maeson gained an amazing opportunity to work as the Y's Youth Advocate - a role that empowers them to make sure the voices and opinions of young people are heard and respected at all levels of their organisation.Maeson also sits on the WhyNot Editorial Committee as the Chief Editor, working to ensure the incredible work of creative, powerful, and inspired young people is amplified in the best possible way.
