I am a current junior at Michigan State University studying Kinesiology. I am from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and I graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School in 2022. After graduating from Michigan State with my bachelor's in Kinesiology, I plan to attend a physical therapy or a physician's assistant graduate program.I grew up as an athlete, and played many different sports. Mainly, I was a competitive gymnast for 15 years, but I also played soccer, volleyball, and diving. Playing sports and dealing with injuries is what shaped my passion for healthcare. I have experiencing firsthand the physical and mental challenges of recovery, and has given me a unique and empathetic understanding of patients' struggles. My personal experiences have sparked a desire to give back by guiding others through recovery and supporting their journeys to health, making healthcare feel not just like a career, but a meaningful way to make a difference in others' lives.The past two summers, I have worked at Team Rehabilitation Physical Therapy in Royal Oak, Michigan as a physical therapy technician. Working as a physical therapy technician has given me hands-on experience in patient care, teaching me how to provide compassionate and effective support. I’ve learned the importance of patience, communication, and adaptability when working with patients at different stages of recovery. This role has also strengthened my problem-solving skills, as I collaborate with therapists to adjust exercises and ensure each patient feels empowered in their progress.
