I am a 29 year old theatrical production professional. I have been doing theater since I was 8 years old. After just a few years of playing on stage, I migrated to the backstage realm 17 years ago. Starting with learning to program a lightboard, I excelled quickly and worked for several small theaters over the years always being known for my reliability and situational awareness beyond my years.I studied Theater and Performance at SUNY Purchase for 4 years, acting and working on productions my peers produced including stage managing a production that brought a full-scale wrestling ring to our blackbox theater.After college, I worked as a Production Assistant and Company Manager for House of Mirth, Inc. helping to organize and execute events such as Historic Hudson Valley's "Horseman's Hollow" and the Town of Crawford's annual Pine Bush UFO Fair.Seeking to gain more professional knowledge, in 2018 I accepted a Production Management internship with Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, working closely with Mike Vandercook for two seasons under the Tent. In the summer of 2019, I was scouted by a former employer, 5 Wits, to return as a Technical Supervisor. As a Technical Supervisor, I was responsible for the maintenance of three state-of-the-art, theme-park level, immersive attractions, the venue that contained them, and supervising, educating, and training staff. Seeing how hard I was willing to work to create a positive and functional environment for staff and guests even in the face of a global pandemic and a giant transition of power, I was sent to our Albany location in November of 2022. Within 6 months, we were able to get the ship righted and I was offered a position on the Guest Experience and Content Development team. In my current 5 Wits position, I am a one-person design and fabrication workshop, learning CAD, and operating a CNC Machine to recreate items for the attractions and begin creating new ones. I CAD, I CNC, I paint, I solder, I do it all!
