I am back volunteering after taking some time off

I love working at Family Tree it is very rewarding.

I help protrary the last week of Jesus' life. I was in the crowd in 2003..."He's a Prophet" was my line in the 1st scene!!! and now in 2011. The years in between I have helped with The Gift Shop, Reservations, pass out flyers in Wheat Ridge Parade August 2003, Directors' Asssistant seasons '09 and '10, take lots of pictures '10, Children's Ministry and Build & Tear down set '10. I had broken my foot twice seasons '04 as well as '10 (on the same leg) so I was always willing to be behind the scenes. But season '10 I wanted to help everywhere I could possible go in and out of my wheelchair. This year season '11 I decided that I wanted to be in the crwod with my daughter and enjoy being a part of the play again..."He's a Prophet" is my line in the 1st scene again YEAH !!!!!!!

This is I enjoy helping make changes to this organization by attending meetings, trainings, committee's, administrating survey's and anything else that is asked of me :-) and if I don't know the answer I will find someone who can better assist you.This is formally The Jeffco Community Connections Parent Partner Program.

I have done childcare and volunteered for various events. But I have taken time off to do some self-care.I have helped out with the childcare for Relatives as Parents Support GroupThey meet every month on the third Wednesday, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, Multi-Purpose Room, 11500 West 20th Street (20th & Robb) in Lakewood.A light dinner, beverages and FREE CHILDCARE are provided at each group session. The Relatives as Parents Support Group is an educational support group for kinship care providers in Gilpin, Jefferson, and Clear Creek Counties.This includes grandparents raising grandchildren, aunts and uncles raising nieces and nephews, family friends raising non-biological children, and other relatives serving as the primary caregiver. The group provides an opportunity to create a network of support, learn about subjects related to parenting, and to receive assistance around legal and mental health topics and getting benefits.
