• Served nineteen months; three six months rotations, in Iraq as a tactical communications-electronics operator/maintainer Subject Matter Expert for an activity that provided command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence systems (C4IS) operations and maintenance support (O&M) to the Directorate of Human Intelligence (DH) and Defense attaché System (DAS) in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) war fighter and policy makers.• Coordinated and executed Tagging, Tracking and Locating (TTL) support for DH Blue Force Tracking (BFT) operations. Specific BFT requirements included installation/maintenance of national asset systems (i.e. MTX, Data Hawk, and ENTR), commercial BFT systems, and BFT viewers (i.e. Falcon View, FBCB2, etc). • Deployed OCONUS with team members to provide a full spectrum of tactical communications to include satellite, land-mobile radio and tactical communications. Continuously kept abreast of all new technology, new equipment and services necessary to support field operations and, when necessary, recommended procurement actions for present and future needs of the Command Liaison Element in Baghdad and its detachment sites throughout Iraq.• Outfitted seventeen vehicles used for covert operations and five heavy armored tactical HUMWWVs and maintained 83 other up-armored vehicles with land mobile radio systems such as SINCGARS, Motorola radio systems, and BFT systems.• Ensured detachment elements had excellent SATCOM Communications within the theatre of Iraq and were able to communicate effectively with its command.• Traveled extensively in the Red Zones of Iraq to five outlying cities outfitting, maintaining, and troubleshooting all forms of TOS communications systems that used VHF and UHF frequency ranges.

• Provided operational support of electronic telecommunications and IT equipment to include: VHF, HF, SATCOM, Data, Red-switch, Voice, Audio Visual and CCI systems for the White House Communications Agency in support of the President of the United States.• Performed ms preventive and corrective maintenance on these systems, solving problems through the interpretation of diagnostic results and system tests using a variety of test equipment and vendor-specific service software. • Applied hardware, software and standards engineering skills in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of telecommunication systems. • Evaluated and recommended COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) applications and methodologies that can be acquired to provide interoperable, portable, and scalable engineering solutions. •Ensured 100% reliable communications worldwide for a total of 645 days while deployed on 85 Presidential, Vice Presidential, and First Lady missions with 100% equipment accountability and zero injuries to personnel.•Displayed high technical skills troubleshooting the unique Motorola Project 25 ASTRO Common Air Interface (CAI) Digital Radio system; consistently requested to aid experienced Wide Band Radio Technician (WRT) team leaders to resolve complex issues.•Created unit Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for performing radio encryption upgrade ahead of National Security Administration (NSA)-mandated deadline.•Developed a quick reference guide for the Portable Digital Repeater (PDR) 3500 radio base station; produced a training booklet for the Presidential Motorcade Limousines’ Motorola spectra radio. Both booklets were used to train all Presidential and Vice Presidential Communications Officers and all WRTs agency wide.•Maintained 100% accountability and serviceability of over 4,500 line items of radio equipment valued at $65 million and sustained over $100 million of the 3rd Presidential Communications Commands’ equipment as the Equipment Management Branch (EMB) Warehouse Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) liaison. Personally recovered $57.2K of misplaced equipment, eliminating over 800 man-hours that would have been required to conduct report-of-surveys during this time.•Traveled on an emergency mission to Gulfport, MS following Hurricane Katrina; engineered and installed a complete radio infrastructure in 23 hours. Accomplished task 96 hours ahead of the Presidential support standard.•Produced and initiated 65 Air Force One and Air Force Two preflight frequency tests; ensured aircraft communications were 100% operative.•Reduced Video Teleconferencing (VTC) downtime by 40%, while working in a highly stressful position for the Commander of the White House Communications Agency.

Provided support for SOUTHCOM AOR and US Army South for disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, and peace keeping operations throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean.Deployed as a Team Chief Leader of a Tactical Automated Switchboard with Joint Task Force Santa Fe in El Salvador from January to May 2000; Joint Task Force Sebaco in the Republic of Nicaragua from May to September 2000, providing a reliable Tactical Defense Switching Network for the support of base camp Commanders and base camp operations.Deployed for Tradewinds 2001 in Trinidad and Tobago supporting 21 other countries in the communications training of the United States Special Forces and the Trinidad Special Forces.Supervised four technicians in the installation, maintenance, and 100% accountability of tactical radio/telephone systems, and COMSEC encryption devices.
