Driver's license = Code 10Matric = Mpondozankomo Technical college obtained 1991Four years of apprenticeship at Highveld Steel and completed in 1985 as a Fitter and TurnerFour years Notional Diploma = ND: Safety Management completed in 1999 at TSA Current Duties which ended in October 2010 Supervise three safety officers who were responsible for SHEQ systems. Conduct audits. Implement Fatal Risk Control protocol. Conduct Risk assessments. Ensure legal compliance for six sites on matters such as: Legal log books, load test certificates, legal appointments, environmental monitoring i.e. ensure hygiene surveys are conducted and corrective actions are instituted. Ensure and attend legal meetings with SHE Representatives and management. Ensure minutes resolutions are implemented. Attend management meetings. Update incidents data base.  Compile induction programs. Implement Safety, health, Environment and Quality systems. Attend systems review meetings. Write procedures.  Conduct Incident investigations. Ensure SHEQ communications are circulated.  Ensure that SHEQ training is conducted statistic are derived for training conducted. Attend client and site safety meetings.  Ensure RED tickets are up to date through auditing system. Attend management meetings. Ensure emergency preparedness systems are in place. On some of the sites ensured security is in place. Monitor planned job observations behaviour based safety observations. Derive planned jobs observation statistics. Monitoring performance indicators such as LTIFR; TIFR; MIFR. Mapping out trends. Liaise with the department of labour where needed such reporting of section 24 incidents. Implement SHEQ management policies .The above is in a nut shell what my job entailed.
