Main tasks:• Pipeline development: I designed, implemented, analysed and coordinated proof-of-concept experiments, pre-clinical and clinical trials, managing different projects simultaneously following all the process of taking an innovative idea through the different stages until launch of the product in the market.• Partnership development: I identified and promoted collaborations with KOL’s, universities and research centres WW which were decisive for the success of pipeline projects. I promoted excellent relationships with external collaborators, as well as managed relevant scientific stakeholders.• Scientific communication and writing: I presented and discussed work frequently in department and inter-department, distributors and in advisory board meetings. I wrote different scientific publications, since peer-reviewed papers, white-papers, short-communications from abstracts and posters that were presented in medical conferences. • Regulatory strategy: I performed patent search and freedom to operate assessments, wrote invention disclosure reports, and supported 1 patent application to the patent office. I have knowledge in medical devices ISO standards, I supported the technical file writing required for CE mark approval. • Quality Control management: I was responsible for assuring that the QC analyses performed to all products meet the regulatory guidelines. I manage and performed validation methods development, stability studies, raw material and packaging materials analysis, in-process and final product analysis including sterility test. I collaborated with Operations department to set-up in-house production of sterile products acquiring knowledge in GMP and GLP standards. I supervised junior scientists working in the department and elaborated activities reports.

PhD in Microbial Biochemistry at Molecular Genetics of Microbial Resistance Laboratory (Ligia Saraiva Lab).Thesis title: "Desulfovibrio vulgaris defenses against oxidative and nitrosative stresses"• I was involved in several projects working in collaboration with national and international teams, focusing on the study of bacteria survival inside the host through genetic and proteomic studies aiming to design novel antimicrobial targets. • I conducted 2 major research projects planning and executing experimental design, data collection, analysis and interpretation. • I published the main finds of my research in renowned scientific journals: 2 first author publications, 1 co-author publication and 2 papers to which I provided technical support.• I prepared and presented talk and poster communications in 7 international conferences.• I performed laboratory management tasks: budget management, monthly orders expenses, contact suppliers and request quotes for laboratory products and equipment, management of laboratory stocks, management of laboratory inventory.• I trained master and graduate students.• I performed an integrated internship of 1 month in Reading University, United Kingdom, for learning techniques of protein purification and characterization.
