In the role of data analyst of Scientometrics (bibliometric and patent data analysis) and database development (PATSTAT and PatentsView) I helped structure and implement patent statistics and indicators using a combination of postgreSQL , python, and R scripts (see https://github.com/mpho-mafata). Study: The effect of grape temperature on the phenolic extraction and sensory perception of cap classique wines made using whole bunch pressing.Method Cap classique experimental winemaking and oenological chemical analysis of grape, juice and wine samples throughout the different (six) stages of winemaking. Methods include: Oenological wet chemistry, spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).As my first industry job, this consisted of a significant amount of procurement and logistics. Understandably, due to this, project planning, budgeting, and project life cycle were paramount to successfully executing project milestones.
